Visioning Workshop Creating Child-Centred
Learning Environments

Date & Time

Sunday, 16 November 2025
9:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Facilitator

Mr. Subir Shukla, Principal Coordinator, IgnusERG Education Resource Pvt. Ltd.

About the Workshop

We all know what child-centred learning should look like. But knowing and doing are two very different things. This full-day workshop is about closing that gap—moving from the idea of putting children at the centre of learning to making it happen, whether in your school, department, or classroom.

How the Day Unfolds

  1. Experience First: The day begins with activities that let you feel what child-centredness actually is—hands-on exercises that shift your perspective right from the start.
  2. Facing the Realities: Why do our best intentions so often fall short? Together, we will name and unpack the challenges—pressures, constraints, ingrained habits—that make this work difficult.
  3. The Visioning Work: Moving from aspiration to clarity, participants will co-create a concrete picture of child-centred learning in practice:
    • What happens in classrooms
    • How students engage
    • What teachers do—and don’t do
    • How the space feels
  4. Building the Bridge: A vision without a plan is wishful thinking. You’ll map out the journey from where you are now to where you want to be, identifying real, immediate steps.
  5. Creating Your Measurement System: You’ll develop clear, observable indicators—signs that tell you whether you’re moving in the right direction. These will be prioritised and described in practical terms for use in your own context.

Who Should Attend

This workshop is designed for:

  • School leaders and principals
  • Curriculum heads and academic coordinators
  • Teacher leaders and department heads
  • Teams of educators (3–5 members) who want to shape how learning happens in their school

Key Takeaways

By the end of the day, you’ll leave with:

  • A shared vision of child-centred learning
  • A roadmap you can follow in your context
  • Tools to track progress and course-correct
  • Renewed hope that this work is not only possible, but achievable

(Note: There will be no printed handouts, but plenty of practical takeaways if participants commit themselves to the process.)
